- Best Beach Clubs in Cannes
Bonjour from the Boulevard de la Croisette my darlings! There is more to Cannes than just the renowned Cannes Film Festival. On our Girls trip to Cannes we visited couple of brunch and dining spots but most enjoyable time we had was at two beach clubs. They both have a prime location - the iconic Boulevard de la Croisette. It was also important for me that they have vegan, plant based options. Each club provides a unique blend of luxury, comfort, and entertainment. 1. Annex Beach Club After a relaxing morning in our hotel's sauna, it was time to unwind and soak up the warm Riviera sun. Our first choice was Annex Beach Club. You can rent sunbeds there as well, but we needed a snack so we decided to have brunch first. The weather was warm and we wanted something light and fresh. My girlfriends chose Creamy burrata with cherry tomatoes and basil while I went for a vegan option - Guacamole tacos. We paired it with Chardonnay Ardèche - Louis Latour. The staff were very attentive and professional. A perfect brunch spot in Cannes with a view of the pristine white sand beach and azure waters. 2. Lucia Beach Club In the afternoon we decided to have some cocktails and snacks. Lucia Beach Club has absolutely best service which is very personalized. Their sun-beds are a tad more expensive than Annex's. However, there was a live DJ with an amazing set that even made a family with three small children dance. Their homemade french fries are so delicious they reminded me of my grandmother's. And their Aperol and Gin & Tonic come in extra large glasses so you might not even need a second one. Having cocktails with my girlfriends while we feel a gentle sea breeze on our skin and have a panoramic ocean view with live DJ was truly an enhancing experience. Our two choices provide great service, delicious food and iconic location. To us they truly are the best beach clubs in Cannes. Guests can enjoy live music, DJ sets, and special events as well, depending on the day. Cannes’ beach clubs offer something for everyone, from the glitzy and glamorous to the relaxed and family-friendly. Bisous, PetraG
- Girls Weekend in Cannes
Bonjour from Cannes my darlings! When we were planning our luxurious girls' weekend getaway, the only thought that came in mind was French Riviera. None of us were there before, so it seemed like a perfect option. Just the thought of Cannes evoked glamour and sophistication. It is renowned for its stunning beaches, upscale shopping, world-class dining, and vibrant nightlife. Our time there was well spent, from our sun-soaked days to chic evenings out. A perfect girls’ weekend in Cannes, filled with relaxation, excitement and lasting memories. My girlfriends were travelling from Copenhagen, Denmark and I was travelling from Pula, Croatia. We all arrived at the Nice airport and from there you can take a bus or a taxi to Cannes. The bus is 20€ per person, but if you are few, you can also share the cost and take a Bolt for 60€. Uber is a bit more expensive and their regular taxi can be around 100€ per trip, from Nice airport to Cannes city centre. We were there over a weekend in late June, just a day after the Cannes Lions Festival 2024 ended. I do recommend going to Cannes after the festival because all the good hotels will be booked. Furthermore, all the big companies like Microsoft, Amazon, TikTok, Saudi Tourism Authority... hire beach clubs so they are not available for public. Cannes has a fairly small city centre so after a day you will be able to memorise the streets without using Google Maps. We were taking strolls along the iconic Boulevard de la Croisette, lined with haute couture shops and elegant cafes, making it a paradise for fashionistas and shopaholics alike. We replenished our makeup at Sephora and took a perfect gift for our moms. Nothing says I love you more than macaroons from Ladurée. As evening approached, the city became alive with street performers and an array of dining options. There truly is something for everyone. From street food style to Michelin-starred restaurants. We had enough time to enjoy La Môme Cannes, Lucia, Annex Beach and Zuma. Some were a great experience and some were a flop. But nonetheless, a girls' weekend in Cannes offers a perfect getaway, so pack your bags and prepare for the weekend of sun, sea, shopping and style on the dazzling French Riviera. Bisous, PetraG
